    Take the Bait?  Hmmm.  Crowded  rooms, clapping hands, moving bodies, flowing drinks, laughing faces - you've seen their show before, haven't you?  Shoulder to shoulder, cheek to cheek, heads boppin', feet stompin', smoke risin', moon shinin', good-time drinkers, pleading for one more song - truly enticing!  They set a pretty mean trap if that's what they mean!
Take the Bait? 
     But ya know, the trap was set for The Alligators long before they ever crawled out of the  swamps of Detroit some 18 years ago. Whether it was Muddy on record, or B.B. on 8 track, or Wolf on the radio, they took the bait. And ever since that first bite into this glorious music, they were hooked, committed, and they haven't looked back since! 
     OK, OK, we've heard it all before. Dedication and commitment to the blues. Very commendable indeed.  Well ladies and gentlegerms, I'm here to proclaim what you will soon find to be true.  The Alligators dedication and commitment to the blues is this - that they are always themselves, unmistakably. Their style is them!  As you Venture into this collection
of 13 songs you'll hear that the blues of The Alligators can do a lot of things - it can chunk and it can boogie, it can get funky and it can get jungly, it can slink slowly and it can swing swiftly, and it can groove on down to New Orleans.  But like the great bluesmen that baited them, they brand all their music with their own unique sound that is The Alligators!
     And so they ask once again,  won't you ... Take the Bait?
